Meet the Maker
In 2020, I retired from a long career as a project manager. I have a Masters degree in Business Administration which was my left-brain analytical thinking side and is what I leaned heavily on for nearly 50 years. However, I also have an art degree which is my creative right-brain thinking side. Throughout the years, I would dabble in various artistic endeavors, but it wasn’t until I retired that I was able to devote much more attention to the arts.
I enjoy working in my she-shack which is located on a lake in the beautiful Texas hill country. At this moment in time, my focus is on designing jewelry, acrylic painting, and collage. Besides new beads and findings, I also love to use old beads that I have found at garage sales, vintage shops, or have been given to me by my friends for upcycling. This keeps my costs down and allows me to contribute to my favorite charities. It’s my way of giving something back to a society which has been very good to me over the years.
